Palm Academy in Indio is pleased to welcome Haroon Abdul Mubaarik to its teaching staff. He will teach core subjects, including math, language arts, history and science.
Haroon began his career in the education field as a gang prevention counselor in 1993. He has been a classroom teacher for 15 years. He said, “I believe my calling is to work in schools and communities that need solid ‘role models of color’ and with people who believe all children are capable of greatness.”
He is pleased to be part of the Springs Charter Schools’ family, where “parents are active and concerned with their children’s education.”
