Dear Hemet River Springs Families,
This school year has been off to a great start. We have implemented a strong bully-prevention program, promoted a growth mindset in the classrooms, continually acknowledged progress and achievement, and we have sustained to maintain our warm and welcoming environment.
We have been spending a good deal of time focusing on increasing rigor in the classrooms, and all staff is fully embracing and excited about the gains we are making. As we move into the New Year, I am excited to announce another reason to celebrate. We have gained a new principal to oversee grades 7th-12th. Congratulations are in order to Mrs. Nikia Hovey, a woman after my own heart whose passion for education and the love of people is what makes her worthy of this title. As colleagues, Mrs. Hovey and I will continue to give the best possible service to the Hemet Community and work together to maintain our culture of excellence. Please join me in congratulating Mrs. Hovey in her new role with River Springs. And now a few words from Mrs. Hovey…
Greetings all,
First and foremost, I am thrilled about this promotion. I have spent the last two and a half years serving our Hemet Student Centers as an administrator under the guidance of Ms. Jennifer Martin, our esteemed principal. I have primarily worked at the high school and have loved every moment. I am beyond excited that I will work even more closely with the middle school and high school together.
Although I have a new role, my mission and vision for River Springs Hemet has not changed. I still very much value the same ideals as always. I whole-heartedly believe in a rigorous curriculum, student achievement, and a warm and welcoming environment for all. I look forward to working closely with the middle school community and furthering our collaboration with the high school team.
Have a wonderful holiday season. We look forward to our students’ return as we continue on our journey together.
LET’S GO HEMET!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Jennifer J. Martin, Principal of Hemet Quest K-6 Academy
Mrs. Nikia L. Hovey, Principal of Hemet Quest 7-8 and Renaissance Real World Academies
