Sable Hunt, 17, is an aspiring scientist. When she graduates from the KEYS program at the end of this school year, she hopes to attend the University of Hawaii at Hilo and earn a degree in astronomy and astrobiology, and possibly physics.
She hopes one day to work for NASA, her “dream job.” When not at school, she devotes her time to researching scientific theories or watching space documentaries. She said, “I love challenging myself and learning about scientific topics that are difficult to comprehend.” Sable is a resident of Lake Elsinore and is in her second year with the KEYS program. Her favorite subjects are science and math. KEYS has worked “tremendously well” for her: “With this program I am able to get a great high school education, take two college classes at Mt. San Jacinto College and teach piano to three children.”
She added, “I am trying to break the stereotype of blondes not being smart.”
