Journey Kicks Off School Year

Journey Homeschool High School started the new school year with 28 team members, including nine new staff members, participating in professional development and team-building activities, reported Nicole Collins, Journey Homeschool High School vice principal. This year, Journey’s mission centers on fostering Respect, Character, and Citizenship with staff, students, and parents, she noted.

Achievements celebrated included the awarding of a seal of biliteracy to 13 Journey students, and Flying Colors Awards, recognizing that 67% of Journey students scored proficient or above on the CAASPP ELA assessment. Staff recognition included acknowledging that Summer Knapp was named Mastery Learning MVP, Adam Corn was honored as MVP for Data-Driven Instruction, and Sarah Amato was awarded MVP of Classroom Culture.
