Dr. Paul Foster, FAASTeam Program Manager at the Riverside Flight Standards District Office, presented the Wright Brothers Master Pilot Award to John Adair, a ground school instructor at Flabob Academy Preparatory Academy (FAPA).
The award is the highest honor given by the FAA to pilots. Mr. Adair is a Certified ATP (Airline Transport Pilot) with over 7,000 hours of flight time and is rated to fly a large variety of aircraft. He is a CFI (Certified Flight Instructor) and has been instructing for 48 years. This is his 4th year as a FAPA instructor.
FAPA is a Springs program which has aviation as a focus for students. It serves grades 7-12, emphasizing personalized learning with a multi-faceted approach to teaching. The high school program offers Springs’ vision of a Global Transitions Program, specializing in transportation technology, travel and cultures, and the science that connects the world.
