The Vista Student Center has launched a Courage speaker series for TK-8th-grade students in its La Fuente and Mosaic Academies.
Principal Amy Heald hopes the students will be “inspired by speakers and also that they will want to talk about their own courageous adventures in front of their peers.”
Upcoming presenters in the bimonthly series will discuss women in science, investing, the symbolism of flags, and travel to the Amazon. Previous speakers have included Claudia Padilla, a parent of an academy student, who discussed the challenges of climbing Mt. Whitney and White Mountain.
Visitors are welcome to come to the talks, and suggestions of future speakers are welcome. Contact Ms. Heald, (951) 319-1737.
