ORAA Native American Tribes Living Museum

Springs’ Otay Ranch Academy for the Arts (ORAA) 3rd-grade students have been learning about the Native American Tribes of California, reported Site Facilitator Tami Foster, working hard “to bring their learning to life.” Each student researched a tribe, created a model or artifact connected to their learning, and prepared a slideshow for a “Native American Tribes Living Museum”.

The lesson included a visit from a representative of the Barona Cultural Center to teach them about the Kumeyaay people who live in the southernmost part of the State of California and northernmost Baja California.
