Dr. Stacey Perez is the new 7–12 grade principal of Connections Academy at Springs Charter Schools. She brings more than 22 years of experience in education, with a strong focus on personalized learning, independent study, student achievement, and school leadership. Throughout her career, she has been a strong advocate for student-centered learning, meaningful relationships, and flexible educational pathways that meet students where they are.
Dr. Perez holds a Doctorate in Education with an emphasis in Teacher Leadership from Walden University, along with graduate degrees in education and educational administration.
She also serves on the Executive Board of the California Consortium for Independent Study (CCIS), supporting and advocating for high-quality independent study programs across California. Her work with CCIS includes professional development for independent study educators, including training focused on helping teachers successfully transition into personalized, relationship-driven independent study environments.
