Spelling Bee

We are excited to invite all Homeschool students (Grades 4-8th) to compete in the Scripps National Spelling Bee! December 6th – 10th! Our preliminary Homeschool Spelling Bee will be held through the Scripps online platform spelling test. The top students will advance to the School-Wide in-Person Bee on January 12th.

The first step to spelling bee participation is for you to register for the Scripps National Spelling Bee’s online testing platform by visiting https://online-test.spellingbee.com.
If you don’t register, your student will not be able to participate.
Flyer and Information
We encourage you to watch this video tutorial that will walk you through the registration process:

SCHOOL ZIPCODE: 92501
SCHOOL NAME: RIVER SPRINGS CHARTER SCHOOL
(this is the main school registered-it is okay it this is not your particular charter)

Once you have registered, we will be able to assign the appropriate grade-level test to your child. Your child must complete the test during the week of December 7-11, and these tests can be taken on any device with a web browser, including desktop computers, laptops, tablets, and smartphones.

The students from each grade with the highest scores will move on to compete at the school level. This year, our school-level competition will be administered via the secure online testing platform.

Our school champion will then move on to represent Springs Charter Schools in the regional spelling bee program, which also may include online tests in lieu of in-person spelling bee events.

The first step to spelling bee participation is to register at online-test.spellingbee.com. Please register at your earliest convenience as we will begin assigning tests to students soon. If you have already registered in the online testing platform for another child, you can log in to your account and add an additional child to that same parent account. There is no need to register a different email address for each child in your household.
