I have had the pleasure of having two successful careers both in Accounting and in the Hotel business. Prior to joining Springs, I was a Partner for an Audit Firm that specialized in audits of educational agencies. While in the Hotel business, I managed large full-service hotels such as Hilton and Embassy Suites. I enjoy working with people and look forward to using the skills I have acquired over the years to complement the outstanding service already provided within the business department!
I have a BS from CSU San Marcos, an MBA from the University of Phoenix and yes, I am a product of the California Community College system. I am a licensed CPA in California and also have the designation as a Certified Fraud Examiner.
What are hobbies? Seriously, I am enjoying not travelling to the extent I had become accustomed to as an auditor. As such, I’m enjoying being home with my family. I am active in my church and community.
I do have a weakness for crime novels – blame it on the investigator aspect of my background, of which James Patterson is a favorite.
I loved math – shocker, right? But I would have to say my favorite subject was history. I will always get sucked in to a new documentary on Netflix or Hulu. I really believe that history does repeat itself, with minor variations and there is much to learn from the past.
I am an Army veteran. I once, key work there – once, knew how to speak Arabic. I am originally from Washington State. I have been in 3 different commercials – one singing!
