Graduate of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with a B.S in Elementary Education. I taught for the Saddleback Valley Unified and Bakersfield City School Districts for 6 years before entering the charter school arena. I began working for independent study charter schools in 2007 and have found my home in personalized learning.
I enjoy making various goals for myself each year and then working to obtain them. I am currently completing a goal to walk 700 miles this year. I enjoy reading and spending time with family and friends.
I read anything by the following authors: Eckhart Tolle, Paulo Coelho, Viktor E. Frankl, Joan Didion, and Ken Follett.
I enjoyed English courses throughout my schooling.
When I moved to Las Vegas in 1991, I had never been there.
I’m a first generation American on my mother’s side.
I was a stay at home mom for 10 years.
I have 2 adult children.
