Academy Teacher
My educational journey began in 2002 when I started teaching Pre-K while completing my bachelor’s in education. By 2003 I became a new mom and wanted to be with my son so I started working for the Temecula Valley Unified School District as an instructional assistant with the Special Day program for students with moderate to severe disabilities. By 2008 I completed my credential program and was hired to teach a private kindergarten class in Lake Elsinore currently the (Lake Elsinore Student Center). Ironically, I am at the same site only this time I am working for Springs! In 2009, I worked as an online teacher as well as a classroom teacher for a public charter school and continued with that school until this past year. Now I am working for Springs and I couldn’t be happier. I truly feel blessed to work with such uplifting people. The staff, students, and parents are such a joy to see everyday!
I love the beach! My favorite thing in the world is to be on the sand or in the water! During the school season I am a year-round team mom for my son’s baseball team, or shuttling my daughter to cheer. I love doing the New York Times crossword everyday while having coffee with my mom. I love watching TV with my husband and staying in hotels in San Diego. I love to run! My 10 year old son has just began running with me which has been so much fun, it gives us a chance to chat while letting some steam off. I enjoy working in the yard, I would rather mow the lawn than do the dishes any day of the week.
I love different series and classics. My favorite book ever is Huck Finn, it’s the kind of book that made me wish I was there, wonder what Mark Twain was like, and wish it didn’t end because I was smiling from the first page until the last.
MATH!! I love all puzzles and brain teasers.
75% of my household is left- handed. Me and my two best friends share the same birthday.
