Special Education Teacher
As an employee of this wonderful learning community, I have been honored to be a part of a Homeschool Independent Learning community as a Homeschool K-12 teacher.
When I’m not teaching, I enjoy a challenging work out at the gym, fun outings with my husband and our two college/career adult sons. I also love to explore nature, camping, and travel whenever possible.
One of my favorite books is a children’s book called, The Giving Tree By Shel Silverstein. It shows the heart of giving without a thought of return, and how one tree supplied everything.
My favorite subject as a young student was writing, and was never finished until there was a corresponding illustration drawn with excitement.
One fun fact is that my husband is from Costa Rica, where we visited together for the first time, seeing amazing nature in 2018. In 2019, I will be taking a fabulous trip to Italy for a family wedding, where we hope to see the sites of Rome, take a guided tour to the Island of Capri, and a bus trip to Tuscany. We hope to take our sons one day to see more historical places.
