Sr Director Pupil Personnel Services & Outreach
Having grown up with grandparents who were lifelong teachers, there was never a doubt that the education of our children is where I would spend my career. I graduated first in my class from Cal Poly Pomona University in 2010 with both my degree in Liberal Studies, as well as my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. Following the mantra that we are never done learning, I’ve since gone back to school to earn my certificate in Gifted and Talented Education, my Administrative Services Credential, and currently finishing my Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership. I have spent my whole career in charter school education, working as a classroom teacher, site administrator, and member of senior leadership as well. I truly believe and advocate for parent choice in the education of their children.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time and making memories with my beautiful wife and two wonderful sons. I also have a passion for cooking and finding new recipes to enjoy with family and friends.
My favorite books would have to be the Harry Potter series. On a trip to London a couple years ago, I made sure to make a stop at Platform 9 3/4 and visit the official Harry Potter store. More recently, I have enjoyed reading to my sons and love to see the joy that going to the library to find new books with their mom brings them.
History. Learning from the past and having the opportunity to visit and see ancient cities, artifacts, art and more is one of my passions.
I love sports and played soccer and baseball in high school. Now, I enjoying playing golf when I can and teaching my kids to embrace the joy and learning that sports can bring to our lives. Since having a son who was born very premature at only 27 weeks, my wife and I have made supporting and giving back to organizations who care for babies and families one of our life’s missions.
