Occupational Therapist Registered
I have 22 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist. I have not only worked in the school setting but have had extensive training in orthopedics, intensive care nursery, pediatrics, burns, neurological deficits, and geriatrics. I have additional training in the area of sensory processing and developmental delay. This is by far the most exciting area to work in. The school setting is a rewarding area that can impact both families and students.
I absolutely love my job and all of the families and children I am blessed to work with. I also love spending time with my own two children. In my spare time I enjoy exercising, reading to learn, camping, listening to live music, watching baseball live or on TV, and spending time with friends and family.
I love to continuously learn about how to better serve my students. Some very informational books include The Ultimate Guide To Sensory Processing, Raising a Sensory Smart Child. For leisure I usually like to read mysteries.
My favorite subject in school is and always has been science. I am fascinated by human psychology and curious as to what makes people do what they do.
When growing up I wanted to be a whale trainer at Sea World.
I love, love, love animals!
My favorite sandwich is peanutbutter cheese and onion.
