Bear River Pop Tabs, Dimostrazione Principle

Springs’ Bear River Student Center students collected pop tabs to donate to the Ronald McDonald House which offers temporary housing to families nearby children’s hospitals when a member of the family is undergoing treatment, shared Gabbie Brooks, site facilitator. Eighth grade teacher Jessica Martinez’s class collected the most of any class, collecting 13 gallons of pop tabs.

In other Bear River news, the school spotlights seven DaVinci principles (from Michael J. Gelb’s book, How to Think Like Leonardo da Vinci) throughout the school year, and most recently focused on the second principle, Dimostrazione (demonstration), the commitment to test knowledge through experience and learn from mistakes. Using a specific template, students took what they learned about Dimostrazione and designed a LEGO figurine that best represents the principle.
