Springs’ Journey Homeschool High School honored senior Hermione Scrivener as the Chamber of Southwest Riverside County’s Student of the Month.
Hermione maintains a 4.36 GPA and takes multiple honors and advanced placement courses. She earned a 5 on the AP History exam and a 4 on AP Statistics. She is also completing the CTE Patient Care Pathway, reflecting her interest in healthcare. She plans to pursue a career in biomedical engineering, with the hope of using science and technology to develop medical solutions for those facing health challenges.
Hermione, who has faced significant health challenges herself, commented, “I have learned that challenges do not have to determine where you end up. They can become part of what motivates you to keep going and work toward what you want for your future.”
She is a dual-enrollment student at Mt. San Jacinto College (MSJC), where she has maintained a 4.0 GPA and is on track to complete her college general education requirements.
The Journey staff said, “Hermione’s story is one of perseverance and purpose. She has not only worked hard academically, but she has developed a clear vision for how she wants to use her education to help others.”
