Springs Venture Online student Sean Ower recently played the character Sweeney Todd in the musical “Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street” at Oklahoma City University. Sean has been performing in theater since age 8, as “it’s the thing that brings me the most joy.” He plans to continue performing in theater professionally when he completes school.
Sean also performs in theater in California as well, mostly at the La Mirada Theater and the California Theater for Performing Arts.
In other Venture news, Venture High School announced its new Student Advisory Board members: Olivia Chin, Jordan McKinney, Seriah Hernandez, Viviana Hermosillo, Beverly Rivera and Klaudia Kirk. The students serve as the Homeroom representatives of each of the six Venture teachers. They meet monthly to collaborate with teachers and administrators to promote student voice, develop leadership skills, and share ideas for improving the Venture High School experience.
