Springs Homeschool senior Rebecca Harrel was honored by the Murrieta Chamber of Commerce as a Student of the Month. Rebecca has been a Homeschool student since kindergarten and has earned a 4.13 GPA and has completed 38 college units.
Rebecca (pictured with friend Emily Winterstrom) volunteers weekly at Green Acres Interactive Therapy (GAIT) in Temecula assisting special needs children in riding horses. She has volunteered in children’s classes at her church and as the graphic design coordinator for two writers’ retreats. She also tutors peers in writing.
Rebecca completed the Graphic Design pathway with Springs. She completed two internships, one with a Murrieta-based photographer and another in the graphic design department of The Rock Church, Temecula Valley. Rebecca enjoys writing and completed her first novel this fall. She plans to attend Cal Baptist University and major in creative writing with a possible minor in graphic design.
