Academy Teacher
Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, BA in Theater Arts (CSUF). I “grade surfed” as a substitute teacher, and found my home in Middle School Science at Springs. Previous experience in trauma-informed development/treatment (ChildHelp).
I sing and play drums, and am learning how to use the synthesizer but have to teach myself how to play piano first. I write unpublished horror novels in my spare time, and between my husband and I, we’ve covered our walls with original paintings.
Anything by William Shakespeare or Stephen King.
Theater Arts
I worked as a birthday party clown through college and then played Alice in Wonderland for Tokyo Disney. I worked as a ghostwriter while my children were young, and have a head full of other people’s stories, which combine with my own into a depth and breadth of random experience destined to make class interesting. I enjoy the art of writing, arts and crafts, fine arts, performing arts, and camping with my husband. Too often, people look at possibilities and see them as too big. I hear “I can’t,” and I immediately address it. The question that drives me is “Why not?” If the only thing standing in the way is knowing how, learn–all information is readily available on the internet. Whatever you want to do, make or be, the answer is yes, if you just put in the time. I believe in a life of Yes.
